Full-stack IoT Software Engineer
to join its research & development department in Slovenija (Ajdovščina)
Who we are?
Pipistrel is a 26 years old aviation company based in Slovenija. With more than 140 employees in Slovenija and Italy we are one of the largest producers (over 100 aircraft per year) of light sport aircraft worldwide. With two electric powered aircraft types (Taurus Electro and Alpha Electro) already on the market we are the key driver in the sector of electric aviation.
What do we do?
In addition to our aircraft production we also have large research and development department which provides innovations to our own company and on-demand R&D services to other customers worldwide. The department covers areas from aerodynamics, mechanics, electronics and software up to flight testing. In 2016 we have successfully completed EU funded research project related to hybrid propulsion systems (hypstair.eu/) and in 2017 we are continuing our work towards first flying aircraft with hybrid propulsion system (mahepa.eu).
Our ideal candidate has:
- Completed (or very near to completion) bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or math sciences,
- Experience with objective programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, C++),
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. python, ruby, PHP),
- Some experience with web application frameworks (e.g. Django, Rails, Laravel)
- Some experience with public cloud infrastructure (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Cloud),
- Good analytical skills and passion for technology and/or (electric) aviation,
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
Job description
- Development, testing and maintenance of PC-based software for electric charging stations,
- Ensuring connectivity of electric charging station(a) to the cloud,
- Development, setup and maintenance of cloud-based solution for managing (data collection and analysis, software update) whole network of charging stations.
