Here at Nordeus, we stunned the games industry in 2010 with the release of Top Eleven, the world's most popular mobile sports game, with well over 180,000,000 downloads to date.
Today we have three additional games across multiple genres, in various stages of production (and we have killed more than 20 games internally to get to this point). Without our awesome and passionate team of engineers, none of this would have been possible. We’re now looking to grow the team - that’s where you come in.
About the role:
As IT Ops Engineer at Nordeus you’ll have a chance to try world’s latest cutting-edge technologies and explore potential for introducing new high-end tech solutions to our workplace to make it more optimized and tailored to our employees’ specific needs. You’ll be responsible for everything related to IT Support, Internal Systems and Network Administration, and you’ll take part in creating top-notch workplace infrastructure and impeccable IT experience for all Nordeus employees.
In this role, you’ll get a chance to:
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and explore the latest IT trends to evolve internal workplace technology with the end goal of making our employees happier and more productive;
- Deliver a flawless IT experience to our employees, empowering them to use our tools and technologies with minimal or zero support;
- Provision and monitor hardware and software systems, network and related infrastructure (video conferencing, printers, info screens, etc…)
- Create processes to reduce downtime and increase reliability of systems using automated technology;
- Plan and implement backup, restore procedures and disaster recovery scenario;
- Set, implement and maintain security policies in BYOD environment;
- Plan and manage hardware and software lifecycle (acquisition, distribution, asset management,...) and effectively communicate with hardware and software providers to ensure effective support in the post go-live environment;
- Engage in constant research and exploration to drive innovations in your field of expertise.
(Very general) requirements:
- BA degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Final year students are also welcome to apply.
- Whether it’s security, system administration or workplace technology, you chose this path because of your strong passion towards it and ambition to excel in what you do.
- Strong problem solving and improvement mindset - you don’t waste time fixing the same issue twice.
- Proactive interest in technology trends and/or system administration (e.g. operating systems, networks, virtualization platforms, etc.)
- Outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
- Cisco and/or Microsoft certifications will be considered an advantage, as well as any previous experience with Linux and scripting.
