Product Owner
We are looking for passionate, self-motivated and experienced candidate to join our agile team in creating reliable software operating for some of the largest lottery gaming systems in Europe. Our teams are cross-functional, self-organizing, and highly autonomous. The teams work according to Agile Software Development practices where shared responsibility, cooperation and team spirit are valued. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product.
YOUR
TASKS
  • Have a clear vision for the customer products and participate in creating the product strategy. Must ensure the product evolution aligns to the vision.
  • Guarantee alignment with other POs working for the same project, to satisfy dependencies and synergies among them.
  • Stay on top of required training for the team from Product department regarding new products or functionalities, as well as new technologies.
  • Close and frequent contact with stakeholders, travelling if needed. Participate in visits to clients to gather feedback and to provide product details.
  • Gather requirements and constraints from stakeholders.
  • Define release objectives.
  • The Product Owner is responsible for managing the Product Backlog which includes:
    • Clearly expressing Product Backlog items
    • Prioritizing according to business value
    • Using feedback from stakeholders in each iteration to redefine the business value more accurately
    • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all
    • Ensuring Dev Team is working according to proper WIP Limit (Work in Progress)
    • Collaborate with Dev Team and stakeholders to discard from product backlog the product items not providing value
    • Continuously grooming the backlog to ensure it is up to date
    • Making sure that there is a backlog ready with properly sized stories for at least the next 3 sprints
    • Identify when a solution proposed by the team is not a good solution to the business problem, and articulate why not. The technical aspects of the solution are completely owned by the team
  • Provide full visibility of the status of the delivery based on reliable Agile metrics.
  • Responsible for packaging and creating / maintaining training material for the product.
  • Communicate what work has been done at the end of each sprint, and the value it brings. 
  • Provide regular updates about progress made and pitch the communication correctly for the audience at hand.
  • Constantly improve the customer's usability, performance, and security.
  • Identify and attend relevant conferences and/or meetups.
YOUR
PROFILE
  • Excellent knowledge of the customer product they are responsible for and its domain both in the Lottery industry and if applicable in other industries
  • Passion for NLS products
  • Passionate about Agile and Lean ways of working
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and processes
  • Several years of experience as a developer, test lead or product owner with technical background
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator with excellent presentation skills
  • Comfortable interacting with all kind of stakeholders
  • Willing to be hands-on when necessary
