We’re looking for an Associate Product Owner to work directly with our Co-founder & Head of Product and help play conductor to our orchestra of talented designers and engineers.
This is a ground-up opportunity to help build out a product management practice at a growing startup with vetern leadership direct from Silicon Valley, USA.
This role initially will be more horizontal than vertical: You’ll have your hand in the entire breadth of our product (rather than taking ownership of a specific feature or group of features).
Day-to-day, the job will involve keeping track of the 1000 moving parts within a product development team - triaging bug reports, answering questions for engineers and designers, organizing user feedback sessions, reviewing and prioritizing feature suggestions, and helping to coordinate our bi-weekly product planning meetings.
We are a very collaborative team, constantly learning, and continuously “Kaizen-ing” our product and processes. We believe in “building the simple before the complex” (and yet we’re tackling an extremely complex problem).

Responsibilities
- Work directly with our Co-founder & Head of Product to manage and oversee the product development process as our product grows in size and complexity.
- Write & manage product specifications.
- Work w/ our design team hands-on to craft a wonderful user experience.
- Work w/ our engineering team to answer questions and keep them unblocked.
Conduct regular user surveys & interviews to get feedback direct from the source - our users!
Help prioritize features & build a world-class software platform and related applications that will be used by millions of people.
You should…
- Have an outstanding intuitive understanding of how digital products work and should work.
- Be knowledgeable about product design, passionate about building excellent, functional, and useful products (but also know your own limits and biases).
- Have a great understanding of how to make good engineering tradeoffs.
- Be extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Be an excellent communicator (in both written and spoken English).
- Be comfortable in a fast-moving organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.A/B.S. in a related discipline - engineering, management, information science, etc.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a software product organization, or similar experience (entrepreneurial experience a plus!)
- Emerging interest and experience in building a product management organization.
It would be super cool (but not required) if:
- You have experience overseeing product development at a B2B SaaS company.
- You’ve built consumer products yourself!
