Job Description
We are looking for a strong Atlassian/Jira Administrator to support our cloud application suite. This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and extending our Atlassian suite. Within this role, you will directly affect process implementation, integrate Atlassian products with other internal applications, and drive efficiencies for our organization.
Responsibilities
- Configuration, maintenance, and administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk)
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
- Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams
- Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs
- Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlassian add-ons to meet team and business needs
- Identify procedural efficiencies, such as with Jira Workflows, custom fields, etc.
- Devise, test, and deploy integration's between Atlassian products and other internal tool Chains
- Drive end-to-end business process re-engineering and transformation of core systems through Atlassian workflows and automation capabilities
- Develop systems in support of core business functions like user access management, Service desk, Portfolio governance, Budgeting and finance and more. Typical implementations require automated notifications, validations, sub-ticketing, workflows and dashboards
- Document solutions, standard operating procedures, implementations plans and system configurations
- Conduct training for employees and new hires on Jira and also briefing the team/s on new functionalities
- Research and implement new approaches on Jira and Confluence usage
- Work with Jira filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and Jira administration
- Prompt issue resolution with Jira Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams and Atlassian premier support
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience administrating Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk)
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL
- Experience directly integrating Atlassian products with other systems (API integrations and scripting)
- Basic knowledge of scripting
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Experience extending Atlassian products via code development is preferable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment
