Backend Engineer - Lunchgate Team

We at Holycode are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Backend Engineer to work full-time on the Swiss table reservation system Foratable in our Belgrade office.

Foratable, run and developed by the Swiss company Lunchgate AG, is a revolutionary reservation system that changes the way restaurants manage, market, and sell their capacity to enhance guest experiences.  As a Backend Engineer, you will join an international team of software engineers to create the next-generation platform, implement new features, and enhance the product. Responsibilities:

• Build new features with the product team
• Maintain and improve existing functionality
• Write unit tests and functional tests for added functionality
• Support the design and implementation of architectural principles
• Closely interact with product managers and software, test automation, and DevOps engineers

Requirements and skills:

• MUST: Masters degree in software engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Good knowledge about data structures, algorithms and data types
• Experience with service oriented architectures and event sourcing is a plus
• Experience in a functional programming language (e.g. Haskell, Scala) or Rust is a plus
• Experience in modern PHP (8.3) and Symfony is a plus
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
