Octopus Cloud is hiring Support System Administrator to join a team in Serbia. We have been working for a Switzerland company for 5 years already.
Full remote, full time, long term contract, just for experienced candidates.
We are looking for a dedicated 100% freelancer for this position as a Customer Support Consultant with deep knowledge in System Administration (DevOps optional).
Experience
- Experience with Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, SQL, RDS, Exchange, IIS, Hyper-V).
- You need to be master in this field of Windows Server environments. WMI, Networks for VMs, Domains should be your passion and you need to be an expert.
- Experience with VMware vSphere environments.
- Experience with Linux systems.
- Network administration experience. Experience in troubleshooting network issues related to firewalling/routing/proxy solutions.
- Experience in planning IT infrastructure, including server/network/virtualization systems.
- Experience in Remote customer support (zoom/email/ticket).
Responsibilities
- Supporting Customers with product-specific issues over the zoom/email/ticketing system.
- Preparation, planning, and consulting with the Customers in regard to the deployment of the product.
- Installation of the product in cooperation with the Customers.
- Customer training in regard to the proper deployment/configuration, and usage of the product.
- Consulting with the Customers in terms of potential issues in the Customer environment, that could impact the proper functionality of the product.
- Preventive maintenance of the product to ensure optimal functionality, and efficiency.
Skills
- High level of technical skills in the Windows / Linux / Vmware / Hyper-V ecosystem.
- Ability to analyze/resolve issues ranging from simple user error to complex technical problems in a wide range of customers IT environments.
- The ability for highly analytical thinking to detect and prevent issues before they can impact the product functionality (user error, misconfiguration of the product, misconfiguration of customer IT environments).
