About the topic:
The Data Domain Owner (DDO) is a critical leadership role within the data governance framework of an organization. The DDO is responsible for overseeing and managing the data within a specific domain, ensuring its quality, integrity, and availability to meet business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the domain's data, business processes, and the technology that supports them. Data Domain Owner in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders is defining, owning and implementing the Roadmap of all data related initiatives/projects within the Domain. Acting as single point of contact for all data related questions.
About the team:
You’ll be part of PT/MFD which is currently located in Germany, Hungary and Serbia. Your role is coordination of local experts from plants worldwide.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Governance and Strategy:
► Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and best practices for the domain derived from the Central Frameworks and Data Strategy.
► Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data quality metrics and ensure data integrity.
► Establish and maintain a data governance framework to manage the domain's data lifecycle.
2. Data Management:
► Oversee the collection, storage, management, and protection of data within the domain.
► Ensure data is accurate, complete, and consistent across systems.
► Monitor data quality and address data-related issues promptly.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
► Work closely with business units, IT, data stewards, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
► Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure data needs are met.
► Facilitate data-related discussions and decision-making processes.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting/Use cases delivery:
► Analyze data trends and provide insights to support business decisions.
► Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor data quality and usage.
► Support data-driven initiatives by providing accurate and timely data analysis.
5. Continuous Improvement:
► Identify opportunities to improve data processes and workflows.
► Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data management and governance.
► Lead initiatives to enhance data literacy and culture within the organization
Qualifications
Education:
► Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience:
► 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.
► Proven track record of managing data in a complex organization.
► Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
