To reach our ambitious goals, we are looking for Database Administrator.
Do you have what it takes to join us:
- Cooperate with a team to architecture, design and implement database requirements
- Provision database instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases by regular monitoring and maintenance
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, restore, migration, etc.
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
- Participate in deployment, installation and upgrading of software applications
- Prepare documentation and specification for database structures as per requirements
- Are used to prompt reacting to system notifications and making sure the downtime is minimal
- Prefer to work on agile software development projects with globally distributed teams
- Good communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essential
- Have more than 3 years of relevant experience
Technical skills and qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in database management of production and non-production environments
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
- Relevant experience with recent versions of PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB
- Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
- Experience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Knowledge of de-facto standards, best practices, limitations, and features in PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks among multiple or changing prioritie
