We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for our client Aktiia: https://aktiia.com/uk/
Challenging things you’ll work on:
- Configure, run, maintain and improve production and staging environments
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA engineers with a focus on configuration and release management
- Contribute to software architecture design with a focus on security, scalability, maintainability, cost, and performance
- Develop and implement strategies for reliability improvements, disaster recovery, and backups
- Contribute to developing and implementing strategies for internal IT security
- Implement an infrastructure for build automation, continuous integration, and deployment and contribute to full toolchain automation throughout the product development process
- Work with a wide range of technologies and tools, such as Python, Java, MySQL, MongoDB, AWS, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira
- Ensure operations of various internal tools and support different teams (certificate and VPN management, user management, etc.)
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
- +3 years as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Previous experience with AWS and related services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch) required, AWS certification preferred, MongoDB Atlas...
- Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of Python, Bash, or another scripting language
- Experience with security-related work will be considered as a big plus (e.g. SAML, Single sign-on, Active Directory...). Any related certifications or training, like GDPR and ISO27001, is more than welcomed
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, ideally MySQL and MongoDB
- Experience with at least 2 of the following services/tools: git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Docker/Kubernetes
- Willingness to work flexibly, in an interdisciplinary and international environment, depending on the current project status
- Strong analytical skills and process-oriented work style with a structured, independent approach to work and focus on getting things done
