Summary
Director of Product Management for CPaaS Engagement Platform is a senior level role on the Product Management team. The role will serve as the Head of Telesign’s CPaaS Engagement Platform with primary responsibility for management of Technical Product Managers, Product owners that drive Engagement platform and communication channel development. The role is responsible for driving, scoping, designing, building, and maintaining key components of our CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) Engagement platform.
As a key growth-driving position, you will lead strategy for the Communication APIs that include new engagement channels like Apple Business Chat, Email and Video as well as management of existing channels like WhatsApp, Viber, SMS, Voice, and RCS. This position will participate in strategy and innovation across all Telesign’s Portfolio of products and contribute to revenue and margin growth, GTM plans, pricing strategies, developing customer facing solutions in addition to building a world class experience for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the vision and strategy for Telesign’s Communications API
- Develop and evangelize Telesign’s CPaaS engagement strategy to both internal and external stakeholders championing the Telesign Continuous Trust value proposition.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Telesign’s Communication API platform
- Be the Communication platform ecosystem expert and aware of the evolving dynamics related to delivery channels within A2P messaging services
- As a leader, you will manage, train and mentor Technical Product Managers, Product Owner who work on our communication channels and work closely with the Engineering team to ensure customer requirements are met, feature-gaps closed, and our platform meets or exceed competition.
- Partner with Portfolio Management, Engagement Product team, Product Marketing, Sales to define and execute Product strategies and requirements that drive revenue and DM objectives
- Participate in strategic meetings with partners, customers, and prospects to share in-depth product knowledge and help develop co-creation strategies,
- Develop and own a roadmap of features and functionalities based on business priorities, customer requirements, geo-expansion and market needs in line with Telesign’s growth objectives.
- Define, high-level product requirements/EPICs for new Communication Products and or features
- You will serve as the point person for your product area to senior leadership and across the organization.
- Work with cross functional teams across the digital identity and programmable communications value stream to develop customer facing solutions that solve customer pain points.
- Understand technical and architectural dependencies for the various communication channels you lead and bring disparate stakeholders together to flawlessly execute launching and enhancements of these products
- Use internal and market data to make good decisions when confronted by ambiguity. Develop and analyze API KPI’s to identify, size and prioritize areas for improvement.
- Partner with sales to understand customer needs, validate customer requirements and ensure timely response to customer inquiries.
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of Product management experience
- 5+ years of A2P Messaging, PaaS/SaaS Products/Solutions with working knowledge of API-first developer community platforms
- Knowledge of Customer Engagement business model using channels like WhatsApp, RCS, Email, SMS, Voice etc.
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of API Software development methodology like Agile/Scaled Agile (SAFe)
- Experience with developing Enterprise CPaaS/SaaS solutions and building GTM strategies to support them.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to teams with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Excellent presentation abilities and composure in front of all levels of technical and business audiences.
- Knowledge of API protocols like SOAP, REST web services, integration & cloud technology
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
- International experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or relevant work experience
