The hardware team at Invenda develops electronic and mechanical designs for production and for use in our own products, as well as upgrade/add-on kits for products that our customers make. As an R&D-driven team, we build prototypes and full solutions that cover everything from control systems, robotics, payment device integration, sensors, telemetry, and environmental controls all the way up to giant touch-screen interfaces with rich interfaces.

Your responsibilities:
- Develop multiple R&D projects, with a focus on the electronics area, including:
- Design solution concepts
- Define budget and project plan and control them during the project lifecycle
- Provide an overview of solution status and liaise with team members
- Define product testing requirements together with engineers
- Define industrialization of the designed solution
- Test concept design
- Prepare product documentation
- Drive continuous improvement of our products
- Collaborate with the product team to align on required product parameters, as well as with production partners and the QA team to ensure industrial readiness of developed products
Your profile:
- Master's degree and/or bachelor’s in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field
- You have at least 3+ years of experience building products with teams that mix practices from mechanical, electronic, and software engineering to develop smart devices or connected solutions for commercial or industrial applications
- You have experience managing hardware R&D projects from A to Z
- Have competence in electronics design (schematics, PCBs, component selection, power, etc) and analysis (measuring, validation, testing), with a professional degree and several years of experience developing products for the market
Have competence with preparation for industrial production: cost estimations, component sourcing, inventory management
- Understand requirements when designing for robotics, automation, FDM Printing, CNC, control systems, or electromechanical systems
- Understand firmware development (using C, C++, microPython, etc) for ATMEL and Espressif/ESP32 architectures (or related experience with STM32, RP2040, PIC, etc). Related experience in project management, version control, software updates, and hardware security is also a plus.
- Understand the key concepts around cloud, data, and services used to manage devices
- Understand RF electronics, as related to connected devices (WiFi, BT, Zigbee, 433, LoRa, etc), especially in relation to IoT or telemetry solutions
