In line with further expanding the scope of customer service, Xpro is looking for a Field Service Engineer.
Your challenge
- As a Xpro Field Service Engineer you will play a role in supporting the technical needs of Xpro customers and customer service partners.
- Working collaboratively with the wider organisation to provide exceptional service to our customers. Services include corrective and preventative maintenance, installation of equipment and software and hardware upgrades to products both on-site and remotely.
Your responsibilities
- Operate at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice and solutions to our customers.
- Carry out corrective, preventative and installation activities on products.
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware and software system failures using established procedures and information.
- Contribute towards technical knowledge sharing through ongoing collaboration with field and remote colleagues.
- Determine most cost effective repair/solution to minimise customer downtime.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge through continual training and development.
- Take responsibility and ownership for self-development to ensure technical and behavioural skills meet our customer requirements.
- Ensure all company property including equipment, tools and spare parts are handled and stored in a safe and careful manner.
Candidate profile
- Experienced logical problem solver with ability to work independently.
- Technical knowledge and experience in engineering fundamentals.
- Competent in IT / Network diagnostics / System connectivity / Remote services.
- Comprehensive PC Skills.
- Recognise new technologies and adapts to daily challenges.
- Deliver high levels of customer service.
