SCOPE OF JOB:
- Google Analytics and GTM Analyst needs to have “hands on experience” in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager with JavaScript (creating events & triggers). Excellent planning, organization and problem identification skills and data analysis skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop, customize, and troubleshoot analytics code in complex environments with the heavy use of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop reporting data layers and using context data variables in web-based JavaScript Tag Management implementations
- Debug, troubleshoot, and fix the configuration and integration issues while working in tandem with our IT teams and developing agencies
- Partner with the analytics teams on measurement across customized site experiences
- Design, develop and support the web analytics instrumentation architecture
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of GTM by continually monitoring tags, both manually and with automated tools
- Assist with the triage analytics-related issues (both in formal development and on an ad hoc basis), and share that knowledge with other partners & stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to expand web analytics collection, especially as they relate to key performance indicators in customer lifecycles
- Consistently evaluate and - where necessary - refactor the analytics architecture to improve stability, flexibility, scalability, and futureproofing
TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in technical, or commercial IT roles
- Certification in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager is a plus
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Relevant 'hands-on-experience' in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager with JavaScript (creating events & triggers)
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks with extreme attention to detail, in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and able to successfully navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments.
