Job Title: Graduate Geospatial and Data Analyst
Location: Serbia – Belgrade
Role:
The Graduate Geospatial and Data analyst will be based in Belgrade working closely with the Environmental and Social Advisory team and the transport team, in data analysis and presentation. They will also be part of a wider network of data analysts, supporting other groups as required.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Work with a range of Geospatial technologies to capture, process, analyse, and visualise data.
- Design and build ICT systems using Geospatial data.
- Test above designed ICT systems, identify issues/problems, and propose solutions.
- Develop, implement, and document test plans for IT software and systems.
- Develop quality standards and validation techniques.
- Make recommendations concerning software/system quality.
- Run automated systems and processes.
- Deliver GIS project tasks on time and budget e.g. pdf maps, webmaps, methodologies/workflows, data management solutions.
- Deliver dynamic, innovative solutions to internal and external clients by thinking both logically and creatively e.g. dashboards, Storymaps, interactive webmaps/apps.
- Develop and deliver customised GIS training modules to disciplines.
- Work with staff from other disciplines and demonstrate the value of good Geospatial standards and practices.

Your profile:
To maintain Arup’s high-quality standards, we are looking for candidates who meet at least, the following criteria:
- Master or university degree in in Geographic Information Systems or another ICT/geospatial technology related field
- Experience in ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Map version 10.3+
- Experience using ArcGIS Desktop extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst)
- Experience using spatial ETL applications, specifically FME, for data conversions.
- Experience preparing high quality map documents.
- Experience in producing geospatial workflows.
- Data management and standards knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of open spatial datasets (any)
- Advanced numeracy, analytical and computer skills for data manipulation and management
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams located across several offices.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to explore new opportunities.
