ICT L2 System Monitoring Administrator ensures that global ICT solutions-in-production operate smoothly and within a secured environment. S/he plays an important role in providing end-users with 24/7 quality service and high systems availability. S/he provides second level support defined as to ensure the smooth operation, user/peer support, maintenance, debugging and performs the performance analysis for the ICRC internally or externally hosted solutions.
The Belgrade Shared Services Center is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following position:
ICT L2 System Monitoring Administrator
(location Belgrade)
MAIN TASKS
- Ensures smooth 24/7 operations – ICRC worldwide ICT system administration as well as provides an ICT support to ICT delegations (local ICT)
- Ensures proper operations of all deployed systems and respects the operational procedure
- Ensures systems in production availability with service quality to the users as a priority
- Resolves incoming incidents while ensuring resolution time commitment (SLA/OLA)
- Rigorously applies defined procedures developed by the BUILD team to sustain system operations as per design (daily checks)
- Takes into account planned requests (standard requests) and respects established and committed timelines
- Installs system standard updates in accordance with the defined plan and procedures
- Ensures a good collaboration with all the ICT teams involved with system production (Service Desk, Sys Admin, DB Admin, Level 3 and ICT Field teams)
- Makes proposals for new tools or methods to improve solutions and infrastructure operations and/or tasks undertaken by the infrastructure team
- Identifies, anticipates and documents problems related to the ICT infrastructure
- Respects the work in shifts procedures and schedule as set in the staff regulations
REQUIRED PROFILE
- 6-9 years professional experience along with minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the IT field
- Excellent knowledge and proven experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 platform and Active Directory management
- Knowledge and proven experience with Windows PowerShell scripting as well as with MS SCCM (software deployment)
- Knowledge of SAN and familiarity with DRP concepts
- Knowledge of at least one enterprise backup systems, Commvault is an asset
- Experience in VMware vSphere 6.0/6.5/7.0 virtual infrastructure administration
- Experience with the following products: GPO, enterprise Antivirus solution will be considered an asset
- Proven experience using a corporate service-management (ticketing) tool
- Knowledge and proven experience with Linux RedHat solutions and their ecosystem
- Good knowledge of monitoring tools (i.e. MS SCOM, NPM, PRTG…)
