The ICRC Belgrade Regional Delegation is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:
ICT Manager for Monitoring and WAN
(Location Belgrade - Resident position)
Purpose of the post
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head of ICT for EURASIA in Belgrade, the mission of the ICT Manager for Monitoring and WAN (WRSM) is to do the follow up of the continuity of the operations of critical ICT Infrastructure in the Region, including the main elements of Site Servers and WAN connections, while cooperating with local and HQ ICT staff towards fault’s preventions and service optimization. This should be done by applying procedures, using tools and managing files and relationships with internal and external interlocutors.
Main tasks
- Organizes and executes the Monitoring of the critical ICT Infrastructure and Services in the Region using the standardized tools and scope agreed within the ICRC’s ICT Monitoring service definition.
- Manage the ICRC’s WAN service in the Region’s sites, following the “Run” and “Organic growth” processes with external connectivity providers and with the WAN Management in HQ, analyse quotations and consistency with the agreed designs and price book.
- Measures and establishes baselines and does a follow-up of critical parameters in the infrastructure to act proactively and avoid incidents, contributing to business continuity.
- Effectively establishes an early warning system to escalate incidents or alerts to the concerned ICT Specialists, to the Global Service Desk or to the providers’s ServiceDesk for further escalation.
- Verify the WAN service quality in coordination with site responsible, trace the SLA compliance and contribute with information analysis to the solutions to problems.
- Establish a regular reporting process according to agreed templates and distributes the outcome to Regional ICT staff and HoICT. Generates ad-hoc reports upon request of HoICT.
- Keep updated documentation of the WAN and Servers infrastructure, including the evolution and change management.
- Assist the HoICT EURASIA to the follow up of Regional files or activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in a field of Information and Communication Technologies with 4 years work experience in a similar function in ICT (monitoring and connectivity services).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (minimum to equivalent B2 CEFR level).
- Self-learner, high degree of autonomy, proven organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical (including the use of MS Excel as tool), planning and organizational skills.
- Certification on Microsoft Systems Operation and Administration (MCSA Windows Server or MCSE Server Infrastructure).
- Certification on Cisco Switching and Routing (CCNA or CCNP).
- Proved experience on exploitation of Network Management Systems (NMS), particularly in “Solarwinds” is an asset.
Assets
- Good level of understanding of French language.
- Formal training and / or certifications in IT Service Management (ITIL framework).
- Work experience on Regional positions covering several countries concurrently.
- Experience with data telecommunication services management (ISPs or Data carriers).
