xSource doo is seeking a dedicated and skilled In-House IT Support Specialist to join our accounting practice. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to a team of 30 accountants who primarily utilize cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing technology within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to a team of 30 accountants, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based solutions, including accounting software, data storage, and other business applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to internet connection, desktops, laptops, printers, and other office equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Help with onboarding/offboarding procedures.
  • Organise users across our systems (VPN assistance, remote work)
  • As needed, assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure all software and hardware are current.
  • Provide training and support to staff on IT best practices and the use of new technologies.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and manage contracts.
  • Review IT monthly services and subscriptions and deactivate accounts.


  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • An approachable, adaptable, and curious individual. 
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role, preferably within an accounting or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based solutions and applications, such as Microsoft Office 365, Fresh Desk, Xero, Slack, etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with network management and security protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certifications are a plus.
