Proctorio is an integrity platform that allows test takers to take secure exams from anywhere in the world. Proctorio is a private company founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2013. As the company has grown and expanded into the globe, the need for a European operation was created.
For the Belgrade office, we are looking to fill the following positions Information Technology and Security Specialist.
This position is core to the support function. IT techs are responsible for maintaining service levels, monitoring all computers, and any other technology-related items in the office. This position also partners with all operational support teams to further assist the company to maintain uptime and stability of network infrastructure and systems. Performs technical and skilled duties in the operation of the enterprise, client/server, and desktop computer systems and networks. Included are multiple online network systems, auxiliary consoles, and peripheral equipment on electronic computer systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Information Technology Support (95%)
- Sets up, verifies, and runs scripts using script control language statements and/or other appropriate commands.
- Analyzes and recover the system when a malfunction occurs.
- Monitors system/infrastructure security.
- Performs back-up, recovery, and systems monitoring.
- Documents all new, changing, and malfunctioning tasks related to the hardware and software in an online file.
- Troubleshoots software and hardware online to maintain performance and system throughout.
- Monitors hardware and software on LAN/WAN systems.
- Monitors jobs using a computer terminal or personal computer (PC).
- Monitors environmental equipment (air conditioning, humidity, and temperature of computer equipment).
- Assists employees to resolve problems with computer hardware and software.
- Maintains company inventory in an accurate and timely manner.
- May be required to work irregular hours and on-call.
2. Non-essential functions: (5%)
- Perform other duties, special projects, and other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- Maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication with all other departments.
- Ensure a safe, pleasant, and comfortable work environment for all test takers and employees. Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: An Associate of Arts degree in computer science OR completion of a certificate program that is equivalent to the major course work for an Associate of Arts degree in computer science OR 4 plus years of experience in the job.
Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in customer service / administrative
- Windows 7+ experience - OS X 10.9+ experience
- PC Hardware Configuration knowledge
- Microsoft Server 2012 (Active Directory, File/Print Sharing, maintenance, GPO) knowledge
- Firewall Configuration knowledge
- Network Configuration knowledge
Skills and abilities:
- Requires strong eye for detail
- Requires excellent multi-tasking abilities as all tasks are time-sensitive
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and employees through all available mediums (verbal, electronic, and written). The second language is desirable.
- Ability to be responsive, resourceful, and adept at problem-resolution
- Ability to achieve positive satisfaction results from customers and employees
