Description
IO Global, creator of the Cardano blockchain platform, is searching for an Integration Engineer to join a new team dedicated to helping integrate Cardano components within external systems. You will become a super-user and domain expert, working directly with our external partners to bridge the gap between software engineering and users of the products.
Your mission
As an Integration Engineer you are responsible for implementing and supporting our products, providing expert advice, and working with software engineers to improve IOG’s products. You have the exciting challenge of working with cutting-edge research and technology with a focus on market needs. To support you on this challenge, you will work with a technical manager, product managers, project managers, formal methods specialists and QA test engineers, with whom you must communicate professionally, effectively and efficiently.
Duties include:
- Become a super-user of IOG’s products, contributing feedback, documentation, and software improvements
- Provide support and direction for external systems integration
- Work with teams multiple time zones
- Be proactive and require minimal supervision or mentoring to complete tasks
- Commit often and submit small pull requests frequently
- When contributing code, follow standard laid out by the product regarding unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Review pull requests as requested, to provide valuable feedback as the champion for end users
- Be available for emergency triaging, communication with the development team, and possible fixing of severe issues on deployed products
- Deploy the programs and systems within product scope
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
Requirements
Your expertise
- Demonstrable experience assisting clients and partners in a similar capacity
- Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL and other JSON-based messaging protocols. Experience with Scala is a plus
- Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms
- Knowledge of distributed, concurrent computation, and event-driven systems
- Knowledge of the basics of cryptography
- Experience with test-driven and behavioural-driven development
- Degree in computer science is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with Git
- Practical experience with agile software development methods.
