Java Back End Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our engineering team. You will work on designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems and services using modern cloud technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Java and the Spring Boot framework, along with hands-on experience in RESTful API design, relational databases, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for internal and external services.
• Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in the AWS cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices.
• Participate in system design and architectural discussions.

 Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience working in cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (JMS, SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, etc.).
