Java XSLT Developer

We are looking for Java developers of all experience levels, which includes students as well as people with disabilities to staff a new development team working on a modern J2EE, Kafka, Camel, REST, and XSLT data conversion project for a large industry leading Fortune 500 company.
The ideal candidate has actual full-time work experience as a Java or J2EE Developer, but that is not required. The candidate that applies should however have some actual working/freelance experience as a developer, ideally utilizing Java and J2EE technologies.
This is a work from home position with a lot of growth and learning potential and we expect self-motivated and hardworking individuals to apply.
As part of working on this data conversion platform you would be expected to use and learn the following technologies:
- Core Java
- J2EE
- Spring, Spring Boot
- Maven
- SAX/JAXB/DOM4J/Xerces
- Saxonica
- Kafka
- Camel
The above skills are not required, but the ideal candidate should be willing, capable, and motivated to learn new technologies and skills.
This position will also require the candidate to have or learn a secondary set of skills, focused on XML and XSLT development. Any candidates that apply do not require having this skill but must show a capacity to learn XSLT and XML technologies as part of the recruiting/training process. These technologies include:
- XSLT 2.0
- Xpath
- Xquery
- XML
- XSD / Schema
- DTD
- Saxonica
This is a position with a lot of learning/growth opportunity, the ideal candidate will show a desire and capability to learn new technologies and platforms and show that they have an ability to be self-organized and self-motivated as this is a work from home position.
The ideal candidate will also have very good written and verbal English skills and will be comfortable interfacing directly with customers, as well as working with other team members and engineers in an Agile and Lean development environment.
