What is the job about?
Data is an increasing focus area for the global Grundfos organization and a key part of our continued digitalization journey. It is up to the Lead Data Scientist/Specialist to set the direction of the data journey: technical advancements and how it’s implemented in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME). The destination is self-adjusting production equipment operating upon neural networks, the Data Lead needs to take us there.
As a Lead Data Scientist/Specialist, you will be the main technical responsible and ensure development of advanced and robust solutions. Moreover you will be the driver of our technical roadmap where you will scout, evaluate and plan the technical advancements bringing us to a world class level. Leading the way of raising the general professional knowledge on data in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and making sure that all benefits are harvested from data will also be one of the crucial tasks in this position. In this role, you are a central subject matter expert responsible for the implementation and utilization of data in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, a global organization.
To sum up, in this position, you will be responsible for:
- Driving technical data roadmap - scout, evaluate, and plan the technical advancements in a roadmap, to make sure the right project is planned and executed. This to enable advancement on the data journey and pioneer data technologies and methods
- Developing advanced and robust solutions - supervising the technical development and solutions across Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists. The lead role is to motivate, coordinate, and delegate technical tasks in the team
- Building world class technical capability - define and execute technical data training, define technical processes and workflows, identify and implement relevant tools
- Drive data community - communicate the data journey and strategy to all levels of the organization and drive the AME data community
What do you need to apply?
You have strong competences within working with data as a data scientist, data engineer or similar. You are passionate about bringing data to life and to help others do the same. You enjoy working in teams and are also goal-oriented and confident taking the lead and driving teams towards change and results. You are a competent networker. You are outgoing and a great communicator who knows how to maneuver and build relations in a global environment.
Moreover, you:
- Hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in computer science, signal processing, or similar studies centered around data.
- Have 5+ years of relevant industry knowledge
- Have a deep understanding of mathematics and modeling.
- Have high experience with several programming languages and in general a wide knowledge within Python, R, Java, C++, HTML, Scala, C#, and Spark
- Have experience of AI, including machine learning and deep learning.
- Have knowledge and preferably experience with different data storage types (NoSQL, SQL, Graph).
- Have knowledge of the different data quality dimensions and how to apply them.
- Have knowledge of project and change management.
- Speak and write English fluently.
- Knowledge of MS Azure will be taken as an advantage.
