Responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer for Infrastructure in our team for maintenance and implementation of IT infrastructure, you will:
- Monitor networks and system software of the client, analyze its new versions, prepare introduction, assist the supplier in its installation, test and adjust the system and application conditions of new versions of system software;
- Conduct the installation of all the software packages for the client;
- Perform IT engineer duties for clients;
- Work on implementing solutions for the virtualization of client and server infrastructure;
- Perform configuration of the mail organization;
- Participate in the analysis of network infrastructure;
- Prepare annual work plan for the team and coordinate with other departmental plans
- Responsible for the team’s overall performance, development and evaluation of the team members, delivery and quality of the employees' work, and recruitment of new team members
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and initiate action to strengthen results and oversee and direct the team in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including overseeing new employee onboarding and support employees in career development planning and opportunities
- Communicate strategy and results to the team members and report to the top management
- Offer competent technical support in the event of major incidents as part of the incident management and business continuity activities; Analyse the work of client’s system and prepare relevant reports;
- Monitor software system of the client, analyse its new versions and suggest possible improvements;
- Create technical documentation and user manuals for clients and internally
Requirements
- University Degree, preferably in information technology or engineering field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Aspiration to develop as a team leader is a must, actual experience with leading a team will be considered a plus
- Primary skills/technology used: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019), Active Directory/DNS/DHCP, Group Policies, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange administration, Web Server technologies (IIS 7, Apache), Virtualization – VMware and Hyper-V, advanced knowledge of Remote Desktop Services, advanced knowledge of server hardware, familiarity with enterprise-class backup systems, switching and routing skills, and strong problem-solving skills
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions
- Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users
- MCSA and MCSE Certificate will be considered a plus
