Your job
As a Network Engineer working in Zumtobel Group’s Network Operations team you are responsible for the management and support of Zumtobel Group’s global network infrastructure. You are responsible for managing incidents and changes, in addition to this you will work on a number of improvement projects which will better Zumtobel Group’s network environment.

Reports to: Global Network Manager and Network Operations Team Lead
Responsible for: Daily Network Operations and High Level Network Projects
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Respond and manage 2nd Level Network Incidents within a defined SLA including but not limited to: Provider outages, hardware and software failures of infrastructure
- Assist 1st level support with the resolution of incidents
- Raise and Manage network changes to resolve incidents and deliver requests
- Monitor and manage over 100 sites on a global scale
- Communicate with business users on a regular basis about network specific topics
- Configuration of Cisco and Meraki Network devices: Security Appliances, Switches, Routers, Wireless Systems and VPN technologies
- Configuration of Riverbed network appliances
- Configuration of Network Management Software: Cisco Anyconnect, Cisco Prime, ISE, APIC-EM, KiwiCattools and Solarwinds
- Configuration of Linux bind and Proxy systems
- Analyse network utilisation and deliver detailed reports
- Site maintenance from device deployment to cable management
- Work on new site installations and site upgrades
- Complete business requests to deliver specialised network solutions
- Optimise existing infrastructure through configuration enhancement, automation and hardware and software upgrades
- Design, configure and implement new network solutions to enhance the network environment
- Work on an on call rotation
Your profile
- Ability to troubleshoot minor to major network related incidents
- Ability to monitor and analyse network events and daily statistics
- Ability to work effectively within a team and alone
- Ability to deliver project related tasks within a timely fashion
- Experience in providing first and second level network support to business users
- Experience in the configuration, management and troubleshooting of Cisco and Meraki Network devices
- Experience with Linux DNS and Proxy Servers
- Experience with the ServiceNow IT Service Management tool
- Cisco Network Devices: Routers, Switches, Wireless LAN Controllers and ASAs
- Cisco Network Management Tools: Prime, ISE and APIC-EM
- Meraki Network Devices
- Basic Linux Skills: Bind and Proxy configuration
- Riverbed
- Solarwinds Monitoring Tool
- Knowledge in the following areas is beneficial but not required:
- Basic Knowledge in Python and other scripting languages related to network automation
- Netscaler load balancing
- Bachelor Degree or higher
- Certifications: CCNA Level or higher preferred
