As a well-rounded Network Service Assurance Engineer, you should be the type that appreciates diversity in your day, and challenges outside of your comfort level! You will be the customer's point of contact for reported problems and troubleshoot problems to resolution. You'll work across all internal teams to ensure all we are presenting and delivering our very best to our customers, striving to ensure our customer satisfaction is at 100%.
Typical activities of a PacketFabric Network Service Assurance Engineer:
- Assist our customers with provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting network and cloud services
- Interact with senior engineers and software engineers to troubleshoot internal/external customer network events
- Coordinate with management and SMEs to provide detailed RCA/RFO information
- Analyze reoccurring issues with a keen eye towards improving and automating the support experience
- Contribute to PacketFabric's growing Knowledge Base to help our customers quickly find the information they need in the easiest format
- Use network management tools to monitor, investigate and solve network issues
- Conduct routine network hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established policies and configuration guidelines
- Provide feedback to internal tool engineering teams on how to improve our support tooling
- Provide feedback and detailed information to internal teams on common customer problem areas, with ideas on how to resolve issues and provide the best experience to the customer when using the platform
Skills & Requirements
- Integrity when communicating with clients, internal teams, and between the two
- Superior communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical people in written and spoken English A second language is a plus
- The ability to configure and troubleshoot switches and routers (Cisco, Juniper)
- Cisco, Juniper, AWS, GCP or Azure certifications desired
- Prior experience either consulting or in a professional services environment
- Experience with ticketing and incident/request tracking systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new support tools with minimal training
- Ability to work independently and effectively
- Be comfortable working from your home-based office
- Must be available to work any shift
- Must be available for On-Call
- Preference for an individual with experience in scripting and network automation - Python, Puppet, Ansible, and a strong desire to learn more
