We are looking for a right person to work within open-source program office on Apache Ozone. We intend to help bring the Ozone project up to a production level of maturity.
SOME OF THE WORK WE HOPE TO ADDRESS IS:
- Snapshots
- Performance parity (and improvement!) with HDFS
- Advanced block placement
- Rebalancing data across nodes/disks
- Efficient cross-DC replication

REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for senior engineers who are deeply familiar with this space. Candidates should be well-versed in HDFS and the surrounding ecosystem and are passionate to make something even better.
If not direct HDFS experience, a strong, demonstrable history of building distributed systems and fundamental file system knowledge is key.
