We are looking for a Python Developer, for our client, MACKEVISION, global market leader in Computer Generated Imagery (CGI). They design and produce high-end 3D visualizations, animations and visual effects (VFX) for images, films and interactive applications. They oversee the whole CGI process from data prep to creative implementation in all media. They work for clients worldwide—corporations, mid-size enterprises, agencies and film productions. Probably their best known references are their work on Game of Thrones TV show and their work for Mercedes Benz.

You will be in charge of:

Contributing to code base by producing clean and reusable source code, leveraging
OOP
Developing, documentingand testing all products created by the team
Staying up to date with coding standards and relevant technology developments
Designing and developing of our media production pipeline in close cooperation with local pipeline developers and 3D/2D artists
Creation of documentation for developers and artists
Close collaboration with colleagues from other technical departments such as IT and Product Development

Your profile is:

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years of software development experience with OO language
Good knowledge of Python with at least 1 year of experience
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and common algorithms
Strong coding skills with practice in unit and functional tests
Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Experience with RESTful services using Django REST Framework/Flask is a plus
Experience with Django Web Framework is a plus
Experience with non-relational databases is a plus
Experience with Linux platforms and network protocols is a plus
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Accept traveling as part of job, but also able to work remotely independently

Traveling:

During the first month training, every week travel is needed to Stuttgart, Germany. After this period, travel is reduced to maximum once per month or less
