Microsoft Office is a suite of products and experiences used across the globe. At Microsoft Office team in Microsoft Development Center Serbia (MDCS), we have been focusing on reimagining and empowering Microsoft Office productivity through AI-powered user experiences and services built across core Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sway, Office mobile app, Office Lens, etc.
This is the first time we are opening such an internship role in Microsoft Development Center Serbia, and we are very excited about the upcoming collaboration and opportunity to design and explore new user experiences!
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate closely with the product team to research Microsoft Office user experiences, including Microsoft Editor and Microsoft Designer user experiences and functionalities. You will be guided and mentored throughout the internship journey by experienced PM and Design representatives.
- You will create and explore wireframes, mocks, prototypes that should address a variety of user problems and UX challenges. You will research new and modern UI and UX and propose new design patterns and interaction models.
- You will interview users throughout the product development lifecycle: to understand user needs and pain points, test concepts and run usability studies, and collect feedback and improve existing designs. You will prepare questionnaires and prototypes for the interviews and drive 50+ user interviews over the course of your internship.
- You will regularly present and share your insights and findings with the broader product team.
Qualifications
- Education in the field of Design, Graphic Design, Communication Arts, Information Design, or other related fields
- Basic experience in modern design tools like Figma, Sketch, XD, or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate design presentations
- Good knowledge of English
Preferred qualifications
- A portfolio showcasing your projects and demonstrating the ability to create compelling design presentations and perform user research.
- Participation in design competitions (hackathon, design challenges)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
