Senior Frontend Engineer

Inkitt is our self-publishing platform where anyone can upload and share their stories for free. We analyze our users' reading behavior with a unique algorithm to identify potential bestsellers , which we then license for our Galatea app. When licensed and published on Galatea, we adapt the stories for our Galatea app and enhance the author's vision by adding vibrations and sound to turn their stories into immersive experiences for our users. Currently, our most successful author is Sapir Englard, a twenty-year-old author from Israel who uploaded her story to Inkitt in 2018. Now, her story is selling faster than Harry Potter did in the same period of time!

Your Role:

• Help architect, build, iterate, and manage our global mobile application, Galatea (you can find it in the App Store / Google Play), which now has more than 250K monthly users with 6M sessions per month.
• Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality.
• Work closely with our Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals.
• Contribute your ideas to the product's roadmap.
• Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.
• Continuously explore new technologies that will elevate the user experience of customers in order to be at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment.
• Stay close with our users, to understand why they are using the product, collect feedback and apply it in your work.

Your Profile:

• A Product Engineering mindset.
• 5+ years of experience working within large, well maintained codebases
• Experience using Typescript and React
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with other teams
• An excellent feeling for UX
• Experience working with mobile apps and understanding release process in App Store / Google Play is a plus
• Experience with native languages - Objective C / Swift / Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience with React Native is a plus
• The desire to take ownership
• A drive to raise the bar of the team on Code Quality, User Empathy, and Delivery Speed.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers and helping them to grow
