Our QE’s are embedded in multi-functional product teams to advocate quality and continuous improvement at every stage of the software development process. Currently, we are growing our team, hiring 2 Senior Quality Engineers for our mobile QE team.
Let’s talk about you. The Senior Quality Engineer position might be a good fit if you:
- Experienced with mobile testing, both iOS and Android.
- Enjoy crafting context-based test strategies for features in development before coding has even started.
- Are familiar with the latest in Quality Coaching methodologies and you’re passionate about influencing a culture of quality, in partnership with the rest of the engineering organization. Please tell us about your experience with this in your cover letter.
- You’re an expert in any area of quality engineering. Whether it’s accessibility, performance, UI tests, influencing quality culture or something else, you’re motivated to flex those muscles and teach others!
- Are comfortable interacting with all members of a product team: seeking context, asking the right questions, making suggestions that guide them toward quality.
- Are flexible, able to flow with changing priorities and know how to balance your time to optimize for impact.
- Are focused, with an eye for detail, and have above average communication skills.
- You know which automated tests are needed and how to get the right bugs fixed.
- Have the ability to objectively evaluate overall quality and advise on go/no-go decisions.
- Are open and able to travel 3-4 weeks per year to meet up with your teammates in person. Important note: at the moment all company travel is optional due to COVID-19. Automattic is monitoring government and health agency reports closely and responding however possible to prioritize safety and well-being for our team and communities.
