Your contribution to something big:
Robert Bosch Power Tools (PT) is reworking the technical change process in the framework of a worldwide project. This includes a redesign of the PT self-developed IT tool using up to date programming tools and web technologies. Actually 4.500 users are working in the tool and it supports all technical changes in the >20 production locations for PT worldwide. Furthermore this includes support of the daily business concerning the further running systems. For our agile IT team we are looking for an experienced software developer.
► Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
► Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS
► Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
► Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
► Create and maintain software documentation
► Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
► Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic applications
► Devising possible solutions to anticipated problems
► Conducting testing and defining of release and deployment packages for test and production environments
► Writing detailed technical documentation for the operation and design of the applications
What distinguishes you:
► Proven working experience in web programming
► In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
► A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
► Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
► Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
► Experience with automated testing preferable
► Experience in agile projects would be good
► Willingness to work in a global team, good communication skills
► Willingness to travel – mainly to Germany (about 60%)
► English (fluent in spoken and written), German (desirable)
► Good MS Office skills
