Senior\Middle Software Developer, Backend, Cloud Sim

We are intensively looking for pro-active and experienced Middle/Senior Backend Developer with experience in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services to join Cloud Simulator team. The candidate will work on market lead product Wartsila Cloud Simulation solution actively in use for online seafarers’ education. The reason of hiring is business decision to develop a new version of the Cloud Simulation solution. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in C#/.NET backend development, with a trackable expertise in Azure/AWS and Azure Service Fabric.

This is a permanent role, the location is Belgrade, Serbia or Helsinki, Finland

What you will be doing:

• Design, implement and maintain Azure Service Fabric based backend part of the Cloud Simulation, and integrate it with other Wartsila services and Azure/AWS cloud services.
• Share best practices and expertise for backend development within the team.
• Optimize performance and memory usage through efficient coding practices.
• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure with DevOps team.
• Participation in development for other Simulation department’s services.
• Ensure clean and maintainable code through code review and adherence to clear coding standards.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of professional experience in C#/.NET development.
• Experience in microservices development standards and best practices.
• Experience in Azure Service Fabric.
• Experience in Azure and AWS cloud services.
• Experience in SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Experience in ASP.Net
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Git, debuggers, profilers, and other software development tools.
• English at intermediate level or higher.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Amazon Workspaces and AppStream 2.0 services.
• Experience with C++.
• Experience with Python.
