We create innovative software for Telecommunications industry. We love new technologies and we use them to make our solutions different and better. We are looking for SOFTWARE ARCHITECT to join our development team in Belgrade.
IBIS INSTRUMENTS is leading regional system integrator founded in 1996, and serves more than 300 customers in South East Europe having offices in Serbia (HQ), Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Bosnia. Our major partners are leading software and measurements companies like IBM, Microsoft, Check Point, Click Software, Keysight (ex HP).
What will you be doing?
- Collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
- Developing high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Defining all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
- Communicating successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
- Overseeing progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
- Actively participating in hands-on development
- Providing technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
- Ensuring software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
- Approving final product before launch
- Learning big data technology, field we know a lot about and many other interesting things
What are job requirements?
- Proven experience as software architect (7+ years of experience in development / at least 3 years as architect)
- Proven knowledge of software architecture best practices and ability to implement them
- Experience in software development and coding in various languages (Python, Java etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
- Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles
- Experience with any of collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, Trello, Base Camp, Slack …)
- MSc/MA in computer science, engineering or relevant field

- MSc/MA in computer science, engineering or relevant field
- Technical mindset with great attention to detail
- High quality organizational and leadership skills
- Good communication and presentation abilities
- Fluency in English
- Self – motivation and persistency to solve problems
