We are looking for an Android engineer to join our mobile team, responsible for the development and maintenance of Android applications, libraries, and integration with back-end services.
What we expect from you:
- Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
- Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other teams.
- Define and communicate technical and design requirements.
- Provide help and support to other team members.
- Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future.
- Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards.
- Research and suggest new mobile products, applications, and protocols.
- Stay up to date with new technology trends.
- Participate in conferences and educational programs.
What skills are needed:
- 1+ year of professional native Android development experience in Java and/or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- You enjoy sharing your knowledge to other people and learning from them as well .
- Familiarity with Firebase, Mobile Push Notification and Analytics.
- Cross platforms nice to know but not must.
