The primary duty of Software Engineer, Fraud Research is to research frauds in communication and identity fields and build automated procedures, reports, and solutions for anti-fraud purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming automated tests and creating test plans and test cases within Billing system.
- Developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.
- Participating in deployment duties on behalf of Billing team - running and validating test jobs and performing ticket validation.
- Investigating and troubleshooting potential environment and/or test issues.
- Working closely with Operation and Release teams on planning, deploying, and testing new software releases.
- Cooperate with other engineers to produce high quality and resilient products.
Essential Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Work with minimal supervision on well-defined, specific tasks.
- Understand development best practices and standards (design patterns, coding standards, etc.).
- Collaborate with team members or other groups in writing functional, design, and interface documents and prototypes.
- Solid experience in Git and branching.
- Self-learner with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.
- Experienced in building and running SQL queries against large databases.
- Data analyst experience.
- Ability to make decisions based on both quantitative and ambiguous qualitative input.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Curious, fast learner and motivated to learn.
- Strong orientation to details.
- Innovative and proactive approach.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with REST API development.
- Experience with high volume web services. Caching, distributed processing, replication, and performance profiling.
- Experience in Python programming.
- Knowledge of basic Linux system administration tasks.
- Good SQL and database design skills, Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
- Experience in report development using Tableau or similar reporting tools.
- Prior experience in risk management, anti-fraud or anti-spam analyst positions.
- Telco or SMS industry experience.
- Experience in data mining, machine learning, expert systems and automated systems.
