Accordia Group LLC is a well-established USA software engineering company, employing over 50 software developers in our branch in Niš, Serbia.
We are looking for highly motivated employees for our office in Niš in the following position:
Software Engineer (Java EE)
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in the complete software development life cycle from requirement gathering to deployment of the product
- Identify product requirements and potential improvements and discuss them with the Product Development Manager
- Lead in the development and testing of new software applications and solutions
- Understand the architecture (proposed or an existing one), and use them for low level design/execution
- Apply design principles (OOAD, OOPs) in detailed design
- Write code and unit-test/debugs software applications and solutions in accordance with established guidelines
- Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality
- Make use of tools and IDE provided features in debugging and troubleshooting
- Participate in existing code maintenance and customer issue resolution
- Proactively identify problem areas and work towards its resolution with the team
The ideal candidate hired into these positions should have the following key skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- Good understanding of OOPs, OOAD, software engineering principles
- Strong experience with Java Enterprise stack (EJB, JPA)
- Understanding of dependency injection frameworks
- Good understanding of Spring framework
- Strong SQL knowledge and database development
- Experience with RESTful Web Services
- Experience using build tools such as Maven
- Exposure to multi-tier architecture of web based solutions
- Expert in development environments, debugging tools, source control systems (GIT)
- University degree in computer science (or equivalent)
- Excellent analytical skills and good attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, creative, open-minded and loyal
