Role Definition
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support our customers in South-Eastern Europe. As a Field Applications Engineer, you are the bridge between product development groups and customers. Your primary goal is winning new businesses through proactive in-depth design and development support that will solve customer challenges.
This requires a profound knowledge of the customer development process: you need to be familiar with all the aspects of the product lifecycle, from development to mass production.
In this role you will be responsible for driving and managing technology proposal and evaluation stages working closely together with engineering teams across a wide range of technologies and applications. You will take ownership for driving the resolution of all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the design in sales process.
You must be able to build trust and establish and maintain strong relationships with customers as well as ADI internal Business Units. You must be able to continuously develop and maintain your knowledge of products and applications through various trainings and other development opportunities.
Your Tasks
- Help customers solve complex problems integrating Analog Devices solutions into end products
- Establish and maintain customer relationship, organize on-site visits, provide customer service and sales support
- Understand customer requirements and propose solutions leveraging broad product portfolio of Analog Devices
- Accomplish reviews of customers' schematics and layouts in collaboration with Business Units
- Prepare Proof of Concept show cases demonstrating key values of ADI solutions to customers
- Generate high-quality materials and documentation (e.g. technical presentations, meeting notes, etc.)
Requirements
- Develop and maintain expert level of knowledge for a wide range of broad market applications
- Identify customer needs and translate end application requirements into product specifications and/or new design ideas
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQs
- Be able to build Proof of Concept demos and proactively support the customer
- Travel to customer sites together with Account Managers supporting deep dive technology discussions
- Resolve customer issues and challenges following ADI strategies
Qualifications and Skills Required
- BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Work experience 3+ years in engineering and/or semiconductors
- Experience with analog/mixed signal chain designs and/or system architectures design is a strong plus
- Capability to quickly learn new technologies and applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to collaborate with global teams
- Proven customer project management skills
- Willingness to travel
- Driving license
- Languages: English (fluent), Eastern European languages is a strong plus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Curious nature and willingness to challenge the status quo
