System Engineer

The successful candidate is someone who encompasses strong technical problem-solving skills and is able to work autonomously. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining high quality of organizational systems and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, log, track and resolve software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, servers and applications stability
• Monitoring and Performance tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning. (Creating and maintaining Indexes, memory settings, monitoring CPU usage
• Verify the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs
• Assist in the planning, documentation, and implementation of various systems
• Research and recommend innovative approaches for system administration tasks

Required

• Experience with Linux OS and Apache HTTPD Tomcat/MySQL web server
• Experience with MS SQL database server
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with MangoDB
• Experience working with Windows server and VmWare infrastructure
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• Experience with Monitoring software like Zabbix
• Highly motivated with advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
• Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable

• .Net
• C#
• Web Services, preferably WCF
• Version control experience, particularly GIT
