This position will be an integral part of our IT Operations team as we head into the next phase of our growth.
Position Summary
As part of the IT Operations team, the Systems Administrator & Technical Team Leader, brings hands-on experience to the team, can lead a team, and is a subject matter expert on all things Infrastructure: Cloud, Storage, Networking, Operating Systems, PowerShell, Azure AD.
You have experience working with the ITILv4 Framework and you can manage service delivery and service expectations on a day-to-day basis. You are focused on ensuring the IT systems and cloud services are operating within acceptable uptime, performance and that integrity standards are aligned with security compliance and business needs. Additional objectives include enhancing the IT systems and operational processes, patching and maintenance, support escalations, configuration management, and troubleshooting complex issues in coordination with various teams and partnering companies.
You have team lead experience, and can provide mentorship and daily guidance to the team members of IT Operations.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with implementing, and the management of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Defender, Exchange Online, and Windows Auto Pilot for at least 250 seats: devices and/or users
- Extensive experience in PowerShell scripting and working with Cloud Online PowerShell Modules
- Working knowledge and experience with Azure Active Directory Security Features: Conditional Access, MFA, Compliancy, SAML and Enterprise App Registrations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform and related services
- Hands-on experience managing NextGen Firewall Technology
- Experience designing and working with infrastructure architecture, including public and private cloud, networking, virtualization, identity, security, and storage
- Extensive experience and understanding of IT infrastructure, including backup management, upgrading systems and applications, patch management, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery
- Experience with the design, planning, implementation and managing of network components (L2/L3) switches, routers, firewalls, IPSec VPN tunnels and configuration of end user devices, wireless access points and other wireless devices
- Strong foundation in the ITILv4 Framework: Familiarity with ITIL processes including work request ticket, Incident, Event, Change, Problem, Inventory, Purchase, Facility - management and CMDB
- Good experience in the design and management of Atlassian Jira software and related suite of products, such as Confluence
- Ability to create and maintain internal procedures, ensuring that all documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles are up to date
- Experience working within Excel to compile data and reports
- Team leadership experience and skills to mentor and guide your peers through knowledge transfer and skills development

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
- 4 years’ experience building, troubleshooting, IT systems and network devices in an enterprise environment, with incident response experience
- 4 years of hands-on experience in providing excellent customer service and technical support
- ITILv4 Foundation certification
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Atlassian certification relating to JIRA/Confluence, though not a requisite, is advantageous
