Junior 3D/OFML Data Engineer

A German based full-service 3D and AR digitizing agency specializing in furniture sales configurators is looking for a full-time employee for the position of a 3D/OFML Data Engineer.

Job Description:

• Creating electronic 3D catalogs, configurable 3D price lists and configurators of office furniture and interior products 
• Creating and adapting databases of furniture products with our GUI based DB program 
• Composing single 3D graphic items into complex articles using 3D data capture tools 
• Integrating complex commercial rules and product junctions into the commercial database using database logics and basic programming techniques  
• Combining commercial and graphical data into impressive and configuration-dependent interactive 3D objects  
• Building modular and plannable furniture solutions (like modular storage walls, shelving systems and sofas) 
• Data testing in 3D space planning software (pCon.planner)
• Working with 3D CAD models (AutoCAD, Fusion360)
• Analyzing customer’s price lists and technical documents 
• Assessing scope of work for a specific data project, creating proposals 
• Written communication with the customer on technical concerns  
• Clients are highly motivated furniture producers, among them market leaders from all over Europe

Requirements/Skills:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD (3D) for at least 2 years 
• Knowledge and understanding of databases (e.g. SQL, MS Access) 
• Technical mindset, good spatial imagination 
• Basic knowledge of programming (for example, logical operations, SQL queries) 
• Desire to develop and openness to new ideas 
• Self-discipline and self-organization 
• Proactive communication in an international remote team 
• Knowledge of English (A2+) 
• Work experience from 2 years 

Preferably:

• Understanding of the principles of creating a digital 3D product (furniture, interior items)
• Ability to work in other graphic editors and programs for 3D modeling, like Revit, Blender, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, 3DS Max or others
• Russian language (native speaker)
• German, French or Italian languages (B1+)
