Ceo proces je isao dosta brzo. Odlicno organizovan HR i ono sto je meni bilo vazno, komunikativan. Osobe sa kojima sam imao intervjue su bile maksimalno prijatne, profesionalne i opustene i ceo intervju sa njima je izgledao kao casual chat, sto je po meni ogroman plus.

The company tends to be presented as highly professional while the overall impression of the team atmosphere is snobish and fake and anything but professional. The company lacks structure, clear goals and skilled menagers which, sadly, affects only the employees while menagers pretend that they are doing a great job. The “great, big” job here is based on the empty phrases read on some basic “how to become leading company” stuff. One of the main phrases (be prepared to feel it on your skin as soon as the managment does no longer need you) is “WE NEVER APOLOGIZE”. Rest assured that they never do since this is one of the rear phrases which is not empty but so real. Working here is a tragi-comic experience with even more tragi-comic managers. My warm suggestion to anyone looking for a job at this company is to skip it without the apologize!

- RT's SemaphoreCI is a time-saving tool for thousands of developers worldwide, so they have clients who are actually satisfied with the service.

Zamerke

- It seems like most of the stuff is handled by the people who lack real-time corporate experience and have had RT as their first ever IT (SaaS) employment. This is quite obvious from overall lack of structure, and especially both internal and external communication vocabulary and assertiveness. In their own words (internal docs) , they 'value drivers, not passengers' and will keep someone hired as long as that someone adds/brings value. This is one of many fancy words that aren't backed by clear and transparent metric structure, and therefore can't be interpreted as employee-friendly. Company is documenting everything so it could be some internal OS guide. Though CTRL+F does heavy work here, you simply can't avoid the scattered data fragmentation feeling (also due to the poor English used). The kind-of-bad side of this is that it's supposed to replace/reduce internal communication, as DM-ing someone for something non-urgent could be considered as disturbing/harassing (that is how I was officially introduced to internal communication). I was fired at the end of week 6, in a patronizing <2 minute Meet call. I wasn't given insight into any particular mistake or performance retrospective, I was just told that I wasn't good enough (again, without any transparent metric structure). The biggest disappointment is definitely the way I was talked to, as it definitely wasn't polite.

HR me je kontaktirao putem LinkedIn-a i ubedio da sam idealan kandidat za njihovu Go / Elixir poziciju. Tražili su developera sa 2 godine iskustva koji je voljan da uči pomenute tehnologije. Prijavila sam se, medjutim odbili su me na osnovu CV-a. Ako ništa drugo, barem su javili povratnu informaciju, što se dosta ceni!

SemaphoreCI ( RenderedText) was a small start-up company, with around 20 people. They used to be transparent in sharing decisions and company goals. Colleagues are nice and eager to help, but the company's idea is to rely mostly on the company playbook and self-education and not to waste anyone's time if not necessary.

The curse of the small start-up that starts growing is hiring unemphatic, shrewd managers that should help the company grow even more with different tactics and bad decisions, where, at the end of the day, the ones that are affected are employees. So, the company that was once people-oriented and transparent is now firing people with no clear and transparent reason for doing that, influenced by the short-term manager (3-months), whose words are by default words of truth, and the long-term employee are not even asked about the situation nor given a chance to improve things. This company is obviously changing its direction in doing business, trying to resemble corporations, where micromanaging people and hiding things are becoming standard. And as a part of that, they look for tricky managers that will help with this intention, and on the other hand, managers that are giving zero guidance or constructive feedback, that set no clear expectations, that are jealous of employees that have more knowledge in different areas, managers that have many faces and with a great tactic of making people that are not working closely with them to like them. This company had great potential, but sadly and how usually it is, they chose profit over people and creatures called Heads that are bringing their personal and not professional thoughts to the table.

Za apliciranje, pored CV-a, bilo je potrebno napisati priču o sebi na engleskom jeziku. Javili su se par dana nakon mog apliciranja na konkurs, sa formularom koji se odnosio na moje prethodno radno iskustvo i poznavanje pozicije za koju sam konkurisala. 3 dana nakon poslatog popunjenog formulara, zakazali su telefonski intevju (20-30 min) na engleskom, gde su mi usmeno postavljali slična pitanja kao iz formulara koji sam im prethodno poslala. Par dana nakon telefonskog intervjua zakazali su mi intervju u njihovim prostorijama. Intervju su vršile 3 osobe, na englesko-srpskom, i trajao je više od 3 sata. Nakon intevjua, prošlo je par dana gde sam dobila mail obaveštenja da će mi biti poslat poslednji test u toku sutrašnjeg dana, i da postoji određeni vremenski rok za koji ga treba uraditi. Test se sastojao od 4 pitanja, veoma stručna i usko vezana za njihovu delatnost. Meni je lično, iako imam dugogodišnje iskustvo u prodaji i IT branši, bilo potrebno 2 dana kako bih uradila test. Nakon poslatih odgovora, rečeno mi je da će se javiti u narednih 10 dana, bilo im je potrebno čak 45 da procesuiraju odgovore, i samo me obaveste mail-om da je drugi kandidat dobio posao. Naravno da je to uvek jedan od ishoda koji je moguć prilikom konkurisanja, i da sam se negde spremila za to, upravo zato što nisam dobila povratnu informaciju od njih u dogovorenom roku, ali mi je stvarno bilo veliko iznenađenje kada su na društvenim mrežama objavili da pozdravljaju novog kolegu - tj. devojku koja je sa mnom sve vreme komunicirala i testirala, putem mail-a, telefona i uživo! Na žalost, moje iskusvo sa njima je krajnje razočaravajuće, mukotrpno i sam proces je jako dugo trajao (31.01. sam aplicirala, 05.02. su mi se 1. put javili, 06.04.sam obaveštena da nisam dobila posao).
