As we evolve the Aladdin Platform and accelerate our Accounting strategy, this team member will play a meaningful role, supporting the Aladdin Accounting platform and being a leader in the region to drive growth and scale. The specialist will focus on delivering technology solutions & large-scale programs to expand our existing business model to new client segments and different types of Aladdin users, while maintaining an integrated platform.
A successful candidate will have shown strength in leading a high performing team to meet defined objectives, as well as experience with technology implementations, project management, and client engagement.

- Data management
- Trade and custody operations
- Derivative operations
- Production of accounting reports in multiple bases (US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS, Statutory, and Tax)
- Comprehensive custodian reconciliation and performance measurement
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the broader 1Aladdin & BlackRock production teams to optimize processes, system usage, and optimize platform capabilities
- Lead a team of experts working to deliver against Aladdin Accounting business objectives
- Meet with partners to make communication easy and transparent regarding project statuses
- Lead with a data driven mindset that tracks and measures usage and metrics to advise product strategy and deployment strategy
- Work closely with Aladdin Accounting and product build teams to efficiently test new product
- Identify system automation opportunities and product enhancements
- Analyze and research accounting data, specifically focused on various asset classes (e.g., mortgages, alternatives, securities, derivatives), working with partner teams to mitigate client challenges
- Explain accounting calculations to internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with the broader 1Aladdin & BlackRock production teams to optimize processes, system usage, and optimize platform capabilities
- Configure and establish system elections, client ledgers, and accounting elections
- Be a market expert - stay attuned and be ahead of industry, market, and technology trends to build opportunities for
- BlackRock and better serve our clients
Desired Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of work experience in the financial services industry, Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience leading a high-performance team
- Full professional proficiency in written/spoken English
- Experience using OMS / Accounting systems and/or successful track record in technology implementations of investment software
- Extensive experience with a variety of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, Local GAAPs) as they pertain to investment accounting
- Experience with accounting processes including reconciliation, ledger/trial balances, income analysis, accounting elections or accounting interfaces/reporting.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize with a hands-on approach, ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively, conflict resolution, problem solving, risk management
- Ability to successfully navigate a complex business environment
- A working understanding of SQL, UNIX shell, or a modern programming language is a plus
- Familiarity with product and software development lifecycles is a plus

Our hybrid work model
