We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst to join our Insight Sustainability team and contribute to our sustainability efforts.
The Sustainability Analyst will support the timely delivery of complete, consistent and accurate sustainability data to alternative investors sourced by Asset Managers. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to enhance our sustainability efforts on behalf of our clients. This role requires a understanding of sustainability principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily communication with Asset Managers
- Connecting with internal and external parties via email and online meetings/phone
- Collect, validate, and maintain sustainability data from external sources, including but not limited to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, waste generation, and social impact indicators whilst making sure the internal tracking system is kept up to date
- Transforming the collected data into the right format and uploading to the internal platform whilst being mindful of the validation process which incorporates multi-level data quality controls by leveraging standard data validation rules
- Cross collaboration with other teams (product, dev, account management, etc.)
- Escalating identified issues, if necessary, to your team lead and wider sustainability team members
- Develop and implement data collection protocols and systems to streamline processes and improve data quality
- Conduct data analysis and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in sustainability performance
- Help prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key sustainability metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Continual learning to stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability data management and reporting
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in economics, finance, accounting or related fields
- 1- 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent English verbal and written.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge (especially Excel)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
