Automotive Software Engineer

Quectel Wireless Solutions is global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Module, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+) and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion on Serbian market in R&D Centre, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our team in Belgrade.

We are looking for: Automotive Software Engineer

Required qualifications:

• Technical degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in embedded software development
• Knowledge in C/C++, Python, Shell scripting programming and debugging
• Knowledge in Linux embedded software development (Yocto platform development or other Linux embedded distribution)
• Knowledge in Linux based systems (user space, kernel and device driver development)
• Experience in designing and developing cross-platform code in C and C++

Nice to have:

• Experience with cellular technologies
• Experience with WiFi, bluetooth, network and M2M protocools
• Experience with RF and radio transceivers
• Experience in various peripheral technologies, including low-speed peripheral and high-speed peripheral bussies i.e. I2C, SPI, UART, USB,PCIe, I2S

Job description:

• Actively participating in design and implement robust, scalable, and secure embedded Linux systems for automotive applications using the Yocto Project
• Optimize system performance and resource utilization to meet the stringent requirements of the automotive industry
• Integrate and configure various hardware components, including sensors, microcontrollers, and communication interfaces
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools
• Active participation in meetings with customers when needed 
• Document your work and share knowledge with the broader engineering team
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain the highest quality standards
