Who we're looking for
Remedy is looking for a talented individual who possesses infinite curiosity. You'll work alongside our product managers and partners to create awesome products. What You'll Do
- Work with a backend stack consisting of Python and TypeScript (Node.js)
- Maintain and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Optimize data storage: current use of DynamoDB with possible transition to PostgreSQL
- Collaborate in an agile environment to understand business requirements and translate those needs to actionable development code using best practices
- Analyze and reason about application data models, performance, and cost implications
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term tech strategy
- Participate in deployment, monitoring, and cost-optimization efforts
- Help maintain and improve real-time features (experience with real-time systems is a strong plus)
What Should Your Qualifications Be?
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Deep experience with Python and TypeScript/Node.js
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including deployment pipelines and infrastructure management
- Experience working with DynamoDB and/or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with system design, cost optimization, and performance monitoring
- Ability to quickly research, adapt to new technologies, and make rational, data-driven decisions
- Strong product mindset, understanding trade-offs between speed and quality
- Comfortable working across different parts of the stack, especially when parsing or refactoring legacy systems
- Hands-on DevOps skills – you know how to deploy, monitor, and support what you build
- Bonus: experience with React and real-time applications
