Job Description: 

HMD Trucking Inc. is looking for a highly-motivated Backend Developer who wants to contribute to a successful team that embraces innovation and be part of an industry-leading organization that consistently sets new standards.

Experience and desired skills:

• Proficient in spoken and written ENGLISH (must)
• Python (must)
• Django and/or Flask frameworks (must)
• Docker
• Experience with PHP/Laravel is a nice to have
• PostgreSQL
• Experience using and building Rest APIs
• Experience with AWS S3
• 2+ years building full-stack web applications

What You Will Be Doing: 

• Alternating between individual and team coding within a source-controlled environment to support collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Working on new and existing projects developed using Laravel / VueJS, Laravel / Angular, Python (Flask) and Python (Django)
• Collaborating with other employees to ensure UX/UI is correctly implemented in the production environment
• Translating designs into functional web templates and prototypes
• Building web apis to send data to the frontend team
• Taking ownership of projects and team responsibilities
• Maintaining organizational websites and optimizing performance levels
• Recommending new technology solutions for digital channels
• Designing, developing, and maintaining high standards for software development

Work Schedule

• Hybrid work environment (Mondays + Fridays from home, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays in office)
• In office days schedule from 12 pm - 9 pm local time to follow US working schedule
