The Business Analyst (Process & Test) will be part of the Process & Test Centre of Excellence that the Customer Experience Unit is establishing. In this regard, the BA will support the Customer Experience Unit in Geneva and focus particularly on documentation of Business Processes and Test Cases within the scope of projects. Furthermore, the Business Analyst (Process & Test) is expected to act as a Business Analyst on Feasibility Studies and small Projects.

MAIN TASKS
Domain subject-matter expert
- Gains an in-depth understanding of ICRC business processes, data models and supporting T&I architecture
- Is capable of proactively proposing improvements to the supporting Information Systems as well as suggesting process improvements through business process analysis
- Maintains a business knowledge base through process documentation, securing T&I business knowledge as well as works closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, contributing to the overall EA strategy and documentation
- Is capable to support the project team on quality assurance regarding the solution delivery (test management)
Business Analysis
- Works with the business stakeholders (typically up to 15 stakeholders) to challenge and define the scope of the project via business process analysis using appropriate elicitation and technical documentation to ensure full Business and T&I understanding
- Documents and manages functional and non-functional requirements, by running brainstorming sessions, interviews, workshops and other requirements gathering techniques as appropriate
- Translates the requirements into detailed specifications in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as analyses, re-uses or updates data concepts
- Creates and manages traceability matrixes that allow all requirements to be traced from business demand through to testing, defect management and delivery
- Ensures change requests are identified, documented and included in the project management process
- Reviews and contributes to solution design and user support documentation
- Works with agile/scrum methodologies and acts as a Product Owner (Proxy), if necessary
- Adhere to ICRC Business Analysis practice, tools and methods, and actively contributes to the continuous improvement
Functional Testing and Training and Deployment
- Contributes to the definition of the overall testing strategy as well as documents and executes functional test cases
- Adheres to ICRC Test Management practice, tools and methods; and actively support its development
- Performs defect management, liaising with development teams and suppliers, as well as facilitates business acceptance and solution validation through UAT with the Business teams
- Supports the handover and training of both T&I and Business users (Operations handover)
- Trains the Deployment team support them in the industrialization of the deployments
REQUIRED PROFILE
- University degree in computer sciences, information technology, economics or equivalent along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Business Analysis role (or similar), including experience in business process management and/or test management
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; thorough and precise
- Capacity to quickly understand multiple new concepts in parallel and identify impacts on the existing Information System
- Proactive and results- oriented with a strong ability to prioritize
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Proven capacity to work in an international environment (English speaking teams) and multi-location teams
- Excellent communication and listening skills in order to capture the information required – adept at collecting, synthesizing, interpreting, and summarizing data
- Ability to translate complex questions into practical strategies and to present information in a clear and concise manner along with excellent presentation skills
- Sense of initiative and ability to critically examine issues and find constructive solutions, and drive change forward
ASSETS
- Certification or training in Business analysis (e.g. IIBA, IREB, PMI), or in agile product ownership (e.g. Scrum), or in test management (e.g. ISTQB), or in any other IT project management topic related to analyzing, modeling or testing
- Understanding of BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation)
- Experience in working in an Enterprise Architecture tool
- Experience in test tools and test automation
- Knowledge of the French language
