Through this role, you can help coordinate some of the most technologically sophisticated changes in the industry.
The Service Management team coordinates the efforts of technology and development teams ensuring the stability of the Aladdin platform and BlackRock infrastructure while supporting our fast pace of innovation.
Change coordinators communicate the impact of high-risk changes and releases to technology and business partners, while securing approvals and consensus from the Change Advisory Board. The team also coordinates security patching across the technology infrastructure with the mission to achieve the firm’s compliance and security goals.
Your role and Impact:
An individual working in this role will have the chance to define relationships with IT teams across the globe and will be exposed to many different applications and technologies used at BlackRock; resulting in an overarching view of how functional teams and technology work together to deliver services to end users while driving a culture of preparedness and quality.
The team proactively looks for opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the change control processes against a variety of key performance indicators and ensures that all relevant teams follow the established policies and procedures, while providing management with a report on change progress.

The candidate is encouraged to have proven knowledge and experience in all parts of the IT delivery life cycle. Our Service Management team has a wide and varied skills, but we’re particularly interested in meeting people with experience in some of the following:
- University Degree
- Strong Leadership, Excellent oral and written communication skill
- Experience operating within an ITIL framework
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent demands
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team effort
- Highly motivated individual who takes full ownership of responsibilities and is a team member
- Basic technical skills and data driven analysis in the following areas – desktop technology, TCP/IP networking, UNIX commands, SQL queries, and an understanding of SDLC.
- Scripting or basic development language skills
- 3+ years of experience in a production support or client services role
Your advantages:
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS, etc. and understanding of different service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Data analysis skills e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Tableau, MS Excel
- Knowledge in programming languages such as Python to automate common tasks and a basic knowledge of IT
- Configuration Management, Deployment & Orchestration tools like Ansible
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry.
- Basic finance domain knowledge and understanding of financial products (like Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of change control principles, methodologies, and tools
