Our growing Customer Support team form an integral part of Arcadis Gen’s customer experience ensuring the impression we leave with our customers is both positive and proactive. The role of Change and Release Manager resides with our Service Management team and is pivotal in our ability to ensure we deliver value and benefit to our customers. We are focussing on improving our approach to Change and Release Management and to increasing the speed and efficacy of our releases.
To this end, the emphasis for the role is on owning the Release Management lifecycle including scheduling, coordinating the management of releases across our customer portfolio. The Release Manager is responsible for overseeing Release Management processes and for their continuous improvement. Effective collaboration across our delivery teams will be paramount and building and maintaining a release calendar will be an important output.
The Change and Release Manager will also be responsible for creating a Change Management policy and ensuring this is integrated with all other processes.

Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Go/No-Go reviews
Weekly Release Reporting
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Change Approval Board (CAB): Establish a unified approach to Change Approvals that includes the formation of a dedicated - CAB. Working with the business and driving the creation of a CAB that represents the technical diversity within our products and solutions. The CAB will be required to review and prioritise requested changes, monitoring the change process and provide feedback to stakeholders
Establish and then participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
Lead the creation and maintenance of a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Planning and governance: Collaborating and liaising with our product, solutions and technology teams to derive a release schedule and calendar
Act as the central point of contact for all aspects of Release Management within Arcadis Gen
Advise the Gen Delivery team on best practices of release management
Working along customer IT change management process
Qualifications & Experience:
3 years of previous change and release management experience, (Solid understanding of service/project management principles preferred)
Previous experience in IT service industry /Project delivery and having strong service management principles
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal credibility, impact and influence to serve as a high profile and high impact ‘play maker’ for Gen
Formal training in project management practices i.e. PRINCE 2
A sound level of knowledge of the software development lifecycle including previous exposure to ITIL V3 or V4
Strong principles of managing backlogs and managing product version
Experience working in a global, multidisciplinary, and virtual team environment
Strong work ethic and not afraid to ask questions and be curious about how our customers use our products and solutions plus understand what is important to them
Willingness to learn and take on board new knowledge, skills and experience
Self-starter and motivated by delivering high standards of customer experience.
